| Crypt Things are strange, undead creatures that guard primarily tombs, graves and even corpses. --------------------------------- Ancestral Crypt Things are created by at least a seventh level Wizard and they guard mostly only their own dead descendants. Crypt Things appear to be mere Skeletons except that they are cloaked in black or dark red robes and have a piercing glowing set of re pinpoint eyes. --------------------------------- Summoned Crypt Things are the types which are called forth by a Wizard or Priest to guard a specific grave or tomb or corpse. |

| Crypt Things do not attack unless the ground they are defending or guarding becomes threatened, either by looters or ill doers. They have a powerful teleportation spell that they can cast as a defense which will can transport an entire group of people. ---------------------------------- Once within this spell, the victim cannot rematerialize in solid matter. They can be transported to a vast casm or high atop a mountain where the Crypt Thing then releases the spell, and the victim falls to their death. -------------------------- Crypt Things lie dormant unless grave robbers or looters enter the scared ground or tomb, and then the Crypt Thing is instantly animated and will attack. Once a Crypt Keeper has employed this power over their victim, they can then scratch and claw at their victim until dead, or simply teleport them to a secluded area where they can be left to die or find their own way out. The method used by the Crypt Thing will be deicded on how violent the victim becomes or the severity of the robbing or tresspassing infringement. It is best not to disturb hallowed ground if a Crypt Keeper is guarding it |
