| Many different stories have been told about the Gargoyle. Everything from they are evil, to the fact they enjoy torturing anything they come into contact with, human animal or magical. These stories are only some of many, but the side of the Gargoyle is one that no living human has ever tried to understand. The Gargoyle is very tribal in nature, meaning they band together for their own survival and protection. However they do carry an alignment of Chaotic evil because when confronted in their living state, they will defend themselves to the death. Different classes of the Gargoyle vary around the world. Gargoyles are normally stone creatures that sit high atop buildings as Guardians of that property. When the sun goes down and the moon shines brightly however, it has been said that the Gargoyles then break their stone sleep and awaken, having full access to the city or town they are residing in. Some Gargoyles who were not cursed by the stone spell, live as regular humans during the day, and turn to stone pillars when the sun goes down. A completely reverse effect from the statues we see high above us through-out the day. Many movies and even a cartoon was produced about these monsters. Very seldom will you walk past a building in Germany or France and not see a towering figure of stone sitting atop one. Some are placed at entranceways to homes and buildings as a form of protection. There are different varieties of Gargoyle, the good and the bad. They are not all that different than we humans are. |
