| HAUNTINGS ----------------------------- Hauntings can happen anywhere at anytime. As a child growing up, my mother used to build, design and work from her own haunted houses. She always tried to scare us kids by telling us ghost "stories". As I grew up, I learned that some of those stories she would tell us inside the haunted house, were not just stories, most of them were actually true accounts. I grew up in the extreme NW of Pennsylvania, and I was able to travel around to different parts of the state for field trips and other events. I also got a few up close and personal views of some of the most haunted places I could ever dream of seeing. I had a club when I was 9, I called it (Dont laugh now...) The "Ghost Force". It consisted of 4 people, me, my two cousins and a friend from school. Our mission... seek out any and all haunted places we could find. It may sound like a child's game, but we really did have some strange encounters that could not be explained any other way than, Hauntings. |

| WHAT IS A HAUNTING ------------------------------------- A Haunting is sort of like watching movie. There are thre different types of hauntings. The most common can be the "feeling" of something there, something behind or next to you, an icy chill that runs up your spine to the back of your neck. Most "Ghost Hauntings" play out like watching a movie, depending on how the person or image died. If they met a violent end, then they may return as a violent person, or if they were violent or cruel at the time of the death, then they most certainly return the same way. People have reported seeing images or "flashes", shadows that when they look again are not there. Many people feel that the images are the ghosts, or spirits of s person who has passed on but has not yet let go of the mortal world. They return to the place they were last, or the place they feel the most attached too. Dark Hauntings however are more detailed and often can be dangerous and you need a professional "Ghost Hunter" or Paranormalist to come and aide you with that. NEVER attempt to fix any type of haunting yourself, especially one of a dark nature. The dark hauntings are easy enough to tell, if you are being threatened, or any harm is trying to come to you or your family, chances are you are experiencing a dark haunting and you should call your local Ghost Chapter for advice and seek help for the problem. |

| ARE ALL HAUNTINGS BAD? -------------------------------------- No. Not all hauntings are bad, in fact you will sense right away if whatever or whoever is haunting you and your home is good or bad. Often times loved ones come to visit or warn us of danger. That is a common haunting and in some cases is not referred to as such. A friend of mine awoke one night to see her great grandfather whom she had never even met sitting at the foot of her bed, watching over her. She was down sick with a high fever, so people told her she was dreaming. However since she had never met him and was able to describe him and what he was wearing, her family changed their tunes quickly. The clothing she described him wearing were the same clothes he had been buried in, 10 years before she was even born. That was not a bad haunting, it was a peaceful haunting. Bad hauntings occur when a vengeful spirit is trapped within an area they cannot escape, such as an old house. If they do want people in that house or area, they will throw things, drop things and even cause bodily harm to cause the people to leave as soon as possible. Not all hauntings are evil, but not all are good, so you must be very careful when dealing with them |
