| The Nazgul are fierce wraiths who are held by the power of an evil master. They are said to be Kings who fell into darkness and now live to seek out treasures for their master. They are cloaked in black cowls wearing heavy layers of chain mail and steel boots. They are swift riders and have their own steeds which carry them. They also have the ability to control certain large birds to do their bidding and they can command the dark forces at will. Nazgul have many names, including Ringwraiths and Black Riders. They are always dressed in black and their very presence draws the fear from the earth. No creature can resist the fear that a Nazgul spreads as they approach. They have a high pitched screech or cry that can be heard for miles around and will alert the enemy they are near and coming forth. They do not speak, not even to each other, they simply travel far and wide at their master's will, seeking out treasures believed to be his or belonging to someone else. |

| The theroy that the Nazgul were once Knights of old are NOT true. The Nazgul were Kings, great Kings who fell into greed and tempatation and who have been re-transformed in darkness to become the Black Riders. They exist only for evil purpose, causing them to have an alignment of only Chaotic Evil. These Kings, unlike Knights, were ones without honor and fell into the dark shadows of time because of their greed. They do not resemble their former selves nor do they even recall who they used to be, unlike the Death Knights who have a very clear memory as part of their eternal punishment. If light is shined directly on a Nazgul, you can briefly see who they were before their downfalls, but that is the only time, and the light must be extremely bright |
