FROM DUSK TIL DAWN
-------------------------------------------
This was an absolute kick ass movie that started out with the usual Quentin Tarantino gangland style movie making.
But by the end of the movie, you knew this was going to be a hit.

Part of what makes this movie such a huge hit were the actors chosen for the roles.
John Saxon (Nightmare on Elm St) George Clooney who went on to make it very big in televison, and of course Tarantino himself.
From dusk til dawn proved to be a rather kick ass vampire movie because it had scenes in it that only the likes of Tarantino could play out.

There were also two very good sequels released from this movie but were sent right off to video.
The dvd's are out there and have alot of the cut scenes they just won't, can't or don't show on the big screen.
Check this one out, it's very well worth it.
THE FOG
-------------------------
John Carpenter was a genius at movie making alot of people said.
He had a huge hit with "Halloween", so he turns right around and comes out with "The Fog" also starring scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis.
This movie was awesome, it had everything a good Carpenter movie was supposed to have.

Besides having a kick ass list of stars, this movie like Halloween has an equally kick ass soundtrack.
The star line up includes of Jamie Lee Curtis as a hitchhiker coming into the small town of Antonio Bay, and her real life mother Janet Leigh (shower victim from psycho), as well as Hal Holbrook playing the town priest and Adrienne Barbaeu (Escape from New York, another Carpenter classic) playing a radio disc jockey who knows the history of the fog.

The town had been founded solely on the blood of sailors who had all died out at sea in a shipwreck.
The Fog rolls in and with it brings all of the sailors back, killing anyone who dares to get in their way.
This movie is all but forgotten now which I don't quite understand, because it is a very good flick that will keep you watching once your eyes hit the screen.

Must see, rated 10 on Scary Dog's Poll
