RE-Animator
------------------------------
This is a movie of utter hilariousness.
Ok, granted it is one of the best damn all out gore films you will most likely ever see, but it is also funny as hell.

Dr. Herbert West (Jeffrey Combs) moves in with another medical student nuerosurgeon named Dan. (Bruce Abbott)
Of course Dan thinks old Herbie is an ok kind of guy and has no problems studying with him....

The slogan for this gore galore movie right out of the 80's was,
"Dr. Herbert West has a pretty good head on his shoulders, and another one in a dish on his desk"
This movie took all new heights when it came to adding humor in with a movie that was so gory, you dared not eat or drink while watching it.

This movie also was one of the first to my knowledge to ever show an actual on screen cranial removal, or the lack thereof.
David Gale plays the actual bad guy here, as a cruel doctor who ends up beheaded and is "reanimated" by the good Dr. West.
The cranial scene will leave you without a doubt the most head splitting (har har har) headache you've ever had.
And the rest of the gore is just as fantastic.
The movie spawned sequels which did not quite compare to this one.
Also a note, Barbara Crampton does an excellent job as the daughter of the father who Dr. West and Dan accidentally kill.
If you can handle some pretty hard core gore, then Re-Animator is the movie for you
Return to Horror High
------------------------------------------
The critics had a field day with this movie.
That might be because it was not that great of a movie.
It was a movie that was about a movie making a movie...did you follow that?

It's success was directly proportioned to a young George Clooney starring in it.
Over all it really wasnt a bad movie, but it got alot of bad flack from critics and people mostly steered away from it.

The plot is about a high school that had gruesome killings, and five years after those killings, while the students are filimg the movie about the killings, it becomes difficult to tell which killings were real and which were fake.

If you get a chance to see it and can actually follow it, it's worth seeing, but if you have a difficult time following a black cloud at midnight, then I dont suggest watching it.
