| WARLOCK ----------------------------------- This movie shook and bedazzled viewers because they weren't sure what to expect from director Steve Miner after his pitiful attempts at "Friday the 13th" II and III. However Miner came through like gold with this classic masterpiece. It was alot like what James Cameron's "Terminator" turned out to be as two warriors travel back through time to do battle for the good of all mankind. The movie was released in 1989 and had a bigger turn out in theatres than were orginally expected. It is a good movie, great for those late night weekends and you just can't find anything else on to watch. |

| WILLARD ---------------------------------- This movie had alot of critics up in arms because of the animal rights acts. But the problem with that was, the critics didn't actually come out until the mid 1980's to complain. Willard was released in 1971. The whole storyline consists of a nerd, a real mama's boy who is treated like such and worse by his arrogant boss (played by Ernest Borgnine) Willard snaps one day and decides to seek revenge by training an entire army of pet rats to do his killing for him. That all got started when Willard strikes up a friendship with the head rat whose name is Ben. Ben relays the messages of what Willard would like done to those who have scorned him. As it plays itself out rather slowly, Borgnine's character who had stolen the company Willard works for out from under Willard's now deceased father, turns right around trys to steal the property that Willard's mother owned after she passes away too. This becomes far more than the nerdy man can take and he unleashes his pet rats on a virtual smorgasboard of Ernest Borgnine. Willard is a very slow moving movie, if there was gore in it I missed it on one of my trips to the bathroom or the kitchen. But it isn't a bad movie if you like rats and nerdy men who talk to those rats. Didn't get a very high rating, but was still pretty ok none the less. |
